Basalt fiber composite bars are new composite materials made from natural basalt ore, which is melted at high temperature to draw fibers, then combined with synthetic resins such as epoxy resin and vinyl resin, and formed by pultrusion process.
Physical properties:
Density is 1.9-2.1g/cm³, only 1/4 of that of steel bars, greatly reducing the structural dead weight, light weight and high strength: Tensile strength >1000MPa, about 3-4 times that of ordinary steel bars, elastic modulus >50GPa. Thermal expansion matching: Longitudinal thermal expansion coefficient (9-12×10⁻⁶/°C) is close to that of concrete, reducing structural cracks. Corrosion resistance: Acid-resistant, alkali-resistant, salt-resistant, alkali resistance strength retention rate >85%, suitable for harsh environments. · Insulation and non-magnetism: Non-magnetic and electrically insulating, suitable for electromagnetic sensitive scenarios (such as electronic equipment factories, communication base stations).
Economic and construction advantages:
· Lightweight reduces transportation and construction difficulty, and reduces structural dead weight; corrosion resistance reduces maintenance costs and prolongs service life.
Application fields:
· Underground engineering: Scenarios requiring high-strength reinforcement such as subway tunnels and underground parking lots, which can replace steel bars for concrete reinforcement.
· Special environments: Structural materials for corrosive environments such as oceans, seaports and docks, chemical facilities, and sewage treatment plants.
· Special scenarios: Fields with high requirements for insulation or non-magnetism such as maglev tracks, nuclear fusion facilities, and seismic observatories.
