Flexible Solar Panels
It is an emerging technology product in the solar energy industry. Structural Advantages
Conventional solar cells generally have a structure of two layers of glass with EVA material and battery cells in the middle. Such modules are heavy and require brackets for installation, making them difficult to move. Flexible thin-film solar cells do not require glass backsheets and cover plates, are 80% lighter than double-glass solar cell modules, and flexible cells with PVC backsheets and ETFE film cover plates can even be bent arbitrarily, making them easy to carry.
Functional Advantages
Can be applied to solar backpacks, solar canopies, solar flashlights, solar cars, solar sailboats, and even solar airplanes. The scope of use is relatively wide. The disadvantage is that the photoelectric conversion efficiency is lower than that of conventional crystalline silicon modules.
